The two dolphins
Sit ensconced between a set of shiny crystals upon my chest
They swim around
frolicking delightedly through the crystal blue waters
but their dazzling faces pop out
To make sure that I am always safe
And to let me know that I am loved
To reassure me that there is someone in this world that cares for me
And loves me for the person that I am
Through thick and thin
Even when I make a stupid mistake
Or mess something up
They continue to swim
And peak out at me
To protect me
That is their soul purpose
Then, I remember
That these beautiful shiny dolphins that rest against my chest
And sparkle with the crystals in between them
Are a part of a chain
That was given to me by you
My soulmate
My guardian
A gift from your past
That you gladly pass onto me
In hopes that these sweet and gentle creatures will remind me
That you're always there
That you always care
And that you ill nevr leave my side
I know that things are improving for us
And although you have someone else in your life now
I know I am on my way home to you
And in time
Things will change
But for now
I can take comfort in the fact that you
Gave me these guardians
Whom I know that you would never give to anyone else
Even your current girlfriend
To protect me
To look after me
Until I can return home
to you
